Challenge Upcycle - January - 2025
Funded by The National Lottery Community Fund and De Montfort University’s Community Challenge Fund, this hands-on project brought people together to give old furniture a brand new lease of life!
Hosted by Kala Arts CIC, local residents rolled up their sleeves to learn new skills, get creative with tools and machinery, and turn unwanted items into something beautiful and useful. It was a brilliant way to connect with like-minded people, share ideas, and stop good furniture from ending up in landfill.
A celebration of creativity, sustainability, and community spirit — one piece of upcycled furniture at a time!
