Material Girls 2023
This empowering project was made possible through generous funding from Leicester and Rutland Community Foundation and Ward Funding from Fosse and Castle wards.
The mission? To inspire young people who identify as female to step away from their screens and step into a hands-on creative space. Through a series of practical workshops, participants learned to transform tired, unwanted furniture into bold, beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces.
It was all about building confidence, learning new skills, and showing what’s possible when creativity meets community!
