What we do
Our current programme is full of workshops in our studio, activites in the community and planning for a brighter future of impactful art in Leicester.
We run workshops in our studio in the LCB Depot, and work with museums, galleries, community groups and schools to deliver engaging people-led projects that really make a difference.
KALA ARTS was created to Break down barriers, with a focus on sustainability and reducing waste. We design our workshops and outreach initiatives to empower participants’ sustainable, creative practices.
We are committed to reducing waste, and promote an actively environmentally-conscious use of materials.
With our passionate approach to recycling and upcycling, we prioritise a culture of sustainability and inspire all of our participants to adopt these values in their creative processes.
KALA ARTS is excited to announce that we are opening Leicester’s first creative scrapstore! RE:CREATE will be based in Frog Island near the city centre.
Providing affordable, accessible and sustainable recycled creative materials to the general public, artists, communities and schools - RE:CREATE will be open to everyone!
